MEASUREMENT OF PALPEBRAL APERTURE




Palpebral aperture can be measured 
by holding a mm rule up before the 
lids being careful not to cause the 
patient to artifically narrow the 
aperture.

Be sure you are directly in front of 
the patient when making the 
measurement to prevent errors 
due to parallax.
